This is because the force area of ​​the intake chamber is exactly the same as the inner circle area of ​​the cylinder when the thrust is applied, while when the pulling force is applied, the force area of ​​the intake chamber changes, which is equal to the inner circle area of ​​the cylinder minus the area occupied by the cylinder rod. Since the difference in the force area between the two is exactly the area of ​​a cylinder rod, it can be deduced that the difference between the thrust and the pulling force is equal to the cylinder rod area multiplied by the pneumatic pressure.
In addition, a precisely designed cylinder can provide a greater thrust, and the magnitude of the thrust is closely related to the effective area and air pressure of the cylinder. For pulling force, the area of ​​the piston rod must be subtracted to get the correct value. Therefore, this cylinder performs well in thrust.
